The Carson City Sheriff's Office arrested a man on Friday for an attempted armed kidnapping that happened on Thursday.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office SWAT and Special Enforcement units took 30-year-old Aaron Frieson into custody just after 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
Frieson had been identified as one of two suspects who attempted a forceful kidnapping on Fleetwood Avenue in Carson City on Thursday.
On Thursday, around 10:10 a.m., the Sheriff's Office responded to Fleetwood Avenue where an alleged attempted kidnapping at gunpoint had happened.
The victim was identified as a 20-year-old man according to a release from the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
It was reported the victim had been handcuffed by two men who said they were federal officers making an arrest. After the victim was handcuffed, his 56-year-old roommate became suspicious, a fight broke out, and the two suspects fled.
The roommate suffered minor injuries according to the release, but medical attention wasn't needed.
Detectives learned that the victims didn't know either suspect, and that the suspects had fled in a white Chevy Tahoe.
Detectives were able to track information related to the vehicle and identified Aaron Frieson as one of the two suspects.
On Friday the Chevy Tahoe was found at an Inn on North Curry Street and Frieson was taken into custody by a SWAT Unit without incident.
The second suspect, described as a white man wearing dark clothes, remains at large.
Both suspects were wearing clothes consistent with law enforcement officers according to the release.
Frieson was booked at the Carson City Jail on charges of attempted kidnapping with a deadly weapon, battery and assault with a deadly weapon, burglary with a deadly weapon and impersonating a peace officer.
His bail was set at $100,000.
