Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center is laying claim to the first baby born in the Reno-Sparks area in 2024.
Baby boy Dillon was born at 12:20 a.m. on January 1st weighing eight pounds and 14 ounces and measuring 21 inches long.
He was welcomed into the world by his parents Kaden and Mikela.
“Our staff was overjoyed when we welcomed the first baby of the New Year to our community,” said Tori Vieira, RN, nursing director of the Family Birth Center. “We congratulate the new parents and all our families who welcome newborns into the world this year.”
