A South Lake Tahoe man has pleaded guilty to not paying employment tax withholdings to the IRS.

Robert Hienekamp, 58, was the Chief Executive Officer of Endowance Solutions, Inc., according to a release from the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California.

In 2016 and 2017 Endownace withheld income, Social Security and Medicare taxes from his employee's wages, but Hienekamp did not file required quarterly employment tax returns or pay the money he withheld from employees to the IRS.

In total, Hienekamp failed to pay more than $800,000 according to the release.

Hienekamp is scheduled to be sentenced on June 27, 2024, and faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

He also faces a period of supervised release, restitution, and monetary penalties.
