A Sparks woman has been convicted of meth trafficking in South Dakota.

Dawn Eagle Feather Floyd was convicted with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

She faces five to 40 years in prison and/or a $5,000,000 fine, four years to life of supervised release, and a $200 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.

Throughout 2019, Floyd agreed to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. She traveled to Colorado to obtain the methamphetamine and returned it to her home in Valentine, Nebraska, and then onto the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation.

Law enforcement recovered over 120 grams of methamphetamine during the investigation.

The FBI, Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services, Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force, and Valentine Police Department all helped with the investigation.

Floyd's sentencing is set for June 24.
