Update January 27, 2024:
On January 24, deputies responded to 3400 Airport Road for a reported stabbing.
The suspect allegedly stabbed someone, pointed a gun at the, and then ran away.
Deputies say the victim had non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives continued searching for the suspect in the neighborhood of 2700 East Nye Lane and they found the suspect at a home there the next day.
The suspect was identified as 44-year-old Shawn William Brogan.
SWAT was called in to apprehend him because he was armed. CCSO says Brogan surrendered and was arrested for multiple charges including battery with a deadly weapon. Brogan has a bail for $50,000.
The Carson City Sheriff's Office says they recovered multiple guns and drug paraphernalia from the home.
Two other people were taken into custody. David Woodward was arrested for harboring a felony offender and contempt of court. David Todarello was arrested for obstructing a peace officer.
Original Story January 25, 2024:
The Carson City Sheriff's Office and SWAT Teams blocked the area of Bunch Way and Nye Lane Thursday night around 7 p.m. for a warrant arrest.
CCSO says they arrested one person who had a warrant, for battery with a deadly weapon.
The other two people were arrested on separate charges that have not been released at this time.
Sheriff Ken Furlong says there is no active threat to the community but the investigation is active.
They're advising residents to stay away from the area until the scene is cleared.
