Nearly 101,000 pounds of food was collected during this year's Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada says donations are still expected to come in this week, but as now it has collected 100,904 pounds.Â
"The Food Bank of Northern Nevada would like to thank the entire community including all of the donors, volunteers and Letter Carriers that helped make this year's Stamp Out Hunger so successful... Thank you for your donations and your hard work. We are excited to get this food into the community to be sorted." Â
The annual food drive is hosted by the National Association of Letter Carriers, and Stamp Out Hunger is the largest single-day food drive in the country.
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada says one in ten northern Nevadans face hunger.
If you missed the food drive you can still donate to the food bank.
