High in the Sierra Nevada Mountains at Mammoth Lakes, you'll find Horseshoe Lake at the end of the scenic Lake Mary Rd. This lake was dry a couple years ago and I was able to hike in the middle of it. After record Sierra snow last winter, the lake has filled up. You'll see views of Mcleod Lake as well with mountain peaks full of snow late in the summer.
