The Regional Crime Suppression Unit say they have arrested a man accused of robbing the am/pm convenience store on Victorian Avenue late Sunday night.Â
Police say at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, a man demanded money from the clerk after telling the clerk he had a gun. The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, westbound on Victorian.Â
The clerk was not hurt.Â
The suspect was described as a white man in his 50's, 5'8", and weights 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with teal lettering, blue jeans, a blue "Nevada Wolf Pack" baseball hat and black rimmed glasses. He also has a large gray mustache.
The Regional Crime Suppression Unit said the suspect description was similar to a series of robberies in the Reno/Sparks area. Â
Carson City Sheriff’s Office say they located the suspect on October 11 where detectives from the Regional Crime Suppression Unit say they responded and arrested the suspect who they identified as Lawrence Arena, a 69-year-old California resident.
Authorities say Arena was linked to two other armed robbery cases. Arena was booked for one count of Robbery with a Deadly Weapon on each case.  They say Arena's bail is set at $80,000.
