Police Arrest Driver in Fatal Accident on Moana Lane

Reno Police officers have identified a woman killed in a car accident last Wednesday in the area of Moana and Baker Lanes.

Police say 21-year-old Shell Cooks of Reno was killed when the Honda sedan she was riding was hit at the intersection. Cooks later died at Renown Regional Medical Center.

Investigators say the driver of a Ford Mustang, 19-year-old Alexander Tivis is charged with driving under the influence causing death.

Tivis earlier was treated for a non-life threatening injury at a hospital along with a female passenger in his car and the driver of the other car.
