Several Reno firefighters out at a busy intersection raising money for muscular dystrophy research as part of Reno Fire Fighters Association’s "Fill the Boot" Campaign.

Firefighters will accept donations at the corner of south Virginia Street and McCarran Boulevard in south Reno from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Last year they raised $60,000 for MDA and they're hoping to top that this year. At 10 a.m. firefighters had raised nearly $40,000 for research.
