UPDATE: The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says a guilty verdict was secured for 33-year-old Jose Alejandro Figueroa.

Officials said he was sentenced to 12 years, five months in prison for a felony DUI.

They said this was his fifth DUI conviction.

Officials said based on his sentence, Figueroa must serve five years in prison before parole eligibility begins.


Original Story, September 2019: The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says a Reno man faces up to 15 years in prison after he was convicted of his fifth DUI conviction. 

The DA's Office says 33-year-old Jose Alejandro Figueroa was convicted of felony driving under the influence earlier this week after he was originally arrested in Reno in January 2019.

Prosecutors say Figueroa had nearly twice the legal limit of alcohol and over three times the legal limit of marijuana in his blood when he was pulled over near the Reno Police station.

Sentencing is set for November 18th, 2019.
