A man from Northern Nevada got to ring the opening bell on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on Monday.

Cody Halvorson, seen in the tie in the center, pressed the button to ring the bell Monday morning.

He works for the local "Best Buy" as a member of the Geek Squad and was selected by the company for the honor - after helping out a woman at a local Walmart.

He even got to take home a medallion - commemorating the event.
