Third Kidnapping Suspect Arrested For Multiple Charges, Found With Stolen Vehicle From Truckee

The United States Attorney's Office, District of Nevada, says a Reno man was sentenced for possession of nearly 2,200 images and videos of child pornography.

Officials said 31-year-old Randall Linscheid of Reno was sentenced to three years in prison to be followed by lifetime supervised release on Tuesday.

They said he pleaded guilty in October 2019 to one count of possession of child pornography.

Officials said in addition to his sentence, Linscheid must register as a sex offender.

They said according to court documents, between December 2018 and January 2019, law enforcement discovered Linscheid download child pornography via a peer-to-peer file sharing network.

They said in March, a search warrant was conducted at his him and three of his devices contained images and videos of child pornography.

Officials said Linscheid admitted he downloaded child pornography for approximately 16 years and that he would save the images to an external hard drive.
