A Reno man was sentenced to 12-48 months in prison after previously pleading guilty to sexual coercion.

45-year-old Amos Ayers was sentenced in Washoe District Court on Thursday.

Ayers was arrested by Reno Police following an alleged June 2015 incident involving an 18-year-old.

According to Reno Police, the victim had attended an event with Ayers, and went back to his office where the alleged crime took place.

In August Amos entered a guilty plea. The District Attorney's Office says Amos will have to register as a sex offender.

Ayers was the morning show host on radio station Wild 102.9. On air, he went by Ron James.
