The Reno Police Department has released statistics for its DUI Enforcement campaign over St. Patrick's Day weekend.
Officers made 43 traffic stops. Of those, nine drivers were issued citations, and five people were arrested for DUI. Police say all five people were under the influence of alcohol.
The Reno Police Department says the DUI Enforcement was made possible by a grant from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety. The grant allowed the department to hire four extra officers and a police supervisor on March 16.
