Earlier today, Pitts stated the following in an email to the Reno Police Department:
I have been blessed, with you, to serve our community, our Council, and all of local law enforcement. Thank you for allowing me to be your Chief of Police; it has been a priceless experience. Always serve with a full heart, and move our organization forward toward what is best for our community.
