Reno police have identified the motorcycle rider killed after he hit a car on Stead Blvd. near Ural Street on Wednesday afternoon.

29-year-old Roscoe Robinson of Reno was heading north on Stead Blvd. towards Ural around 4:30pm when a 2003 Nissan Altima tried to cross Stead to go south. Police say Robinson tried to stop his motorycle but could not react in enough time and crashed into the side of the sedan.

When officers arrived on scene, Robinson was in critical condition and was being taken to Renown Regional Medical Center where he later died of his injuries.

Reno police say they do not think alcohol was involved in the accident and the driver of the Altima is cooperating with the police investigation.
