The Reno Rodeo Foundation sponsored their 10th annual Driving for Donors Blood Drive Friday afternoon at Famous Dave's.  If you didn't get a chance to donate today, United Blood Services says one lucky donor still has a chance to win a brand new, 2016 Toyota Corolla, if you donate to them by September 6th.Â
Nicole Frosini, Donor Recruitment Representative from United Blood Services said, "For those who need blood there is no substitute.  So the only way that they can get the life-saving blood they need to survive an accident an injury an illness or a blood disorder is for the community to step up and donate."
United Blood Services is facing a severe shortage of blood. As of July, it is projected that areas on the west coast are roughly 4,700 pints below the standard inventory levels. The Reno Rodeo Foundation, in partnership with Famous Dave’s, hosts this blood drive yearly; just one more way the foundation has worked to support the Reno community.
