The Washoe County School District said rumors circulating at Reno High School on Friday were investigated.

In a ConnectEd call, officials said there were rumors of an "incident" taking place on campus, and all safety protocols were followed.

They said School Police were involved and the rumor was taken seriously.

Officials said school will be held as normal on Monday morning.

Good Evening Huskie Families,

This is Principal Hackbusch with an important message this evening. I want to keep you informed of some rumors circulating on our campus today about the possibility of an incident taking place on our campus. All safety protocols have been followed , and School Police was involved in the investigation. We want you to know that anytime rumors exist we take them very seriously and the safety and security of our students and staff are the highest priority. At this time the rumor has been thoroughly investigated and school will be held as normal Monday morning. If in the meantime you have any questions or concerns, please call our office at 333-5050.
