Scolari's Food & Drug Company says it will close its 8165 South Virginia Street location on October 31.
A representative says, “After 27 years of operation in this location, the difficult decision to close was based on a number of business factors. If positions are available, store associates will be offered jobs at other Scolari's locations."
The 'Pink' Scolari's location employees 48 people.
“While it's never easy to make these types of changes, this closure will benefit the company as a whole,” explained co-owner, Joey Scolari. “It's our intention to continue to streamline operations in order to keep the company a viable part of the community.”
Scolari's Food & Drug Company is headquartered in Reno and will continue to operate 9 stores, including one Sak ‘n Save, all located in Northern Nevada.
