Fire crews say an illegal burn started a small brushfire in Palomino Valley on Thursday.Â
Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District says no structures were threatened and that the two-acre fire was quickly knocked down.
TMFPD says the BLM and Palomino Fire Volunteers helped with the fire.Â
A second, smaller brushfire was knocked down on Nightingale Way in Spanish Springs due to improper burning. A backyard fence was damaged.Â
