The Salvation Army of Washoe County says a group of thieves stole a red kettle full of donations outside a Walmart in Reno.
The Salvation Army just started up a rent and utilities assistance program that may help. Its part of a 265 thousand dollar grant given to both the Reno and Carson City Salvation Army locations, and is meant to help those in need.
The Salvation Army in partnership with businesses throughout the community held the annual event, Feed the Hungry at the Reno Events Center on Tuesday.
