More than 1,200 people in northwest Reno will be affected by a planned power outage early Wednesday morning.
A power outage that was affecting nearly 1,100 people in the Sun Valley area on Tuesday afternoon has been resolved.
NV Energy is reporting that a series of power outages affecting more than 5,000 people across Washoe County has largely been resolved.
More than 90 customers in northwest Reno remain without power hours later after an outage started just before 9:30 a.m.
Power has been restored to all NV Energy customers affected by a PSOM outage due to high winds, according to a release from the power company.
There is a current power outage that's affecting west Reno residents.
Additional outages are possible throughout northern Nevada as the high winds are expected to continue throughout the day.
Hundreds of children are expected to receive free school supplies this weekend as a local community event returns to Reno.
