Colorado has become the first state to put a cap on rising insulin prices. According to CBS News insulin prices have more than doubled since 2013. Colorado is now capping co-payments for diabetics with private insurance at $100 per month.

Nevada state senators have passed a proposal aiming to force pharmaceutical companies to disclose how they set insulin prices. Bill 265 would impose some of the toughest regulations on pharmaceutical companies in the nation.
