It took 15 years, but the Village at Palisades Tahoe is finally happening. The development will consist of hotel and commercial space, as well as workforce housing.

The Placer County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to approve an amendment to the Village at Palisades Tahoe Specific Plan.

Skiers say they’re praying another storm will prolong the season, but others aren’t so sure.

Palisades Tahoe reported 38 inches of new snow over 72 hours during the latest storm system, with 19 of those inches coming in the last 24 hours. 

Just one of Palisades Tahoe's 296 trails and two of its 39 lifts are currently open. Around this time last year, the resort was almost completely open.

Palisades Tahoe has made improvements for the upcoming 2025/2026 winter season.

If Placer County approves the revised blueprint, the agreement would end the conservation groups' legal challenge to the County's 2024 approvals.
