This weekend, some drivers might have to find a new route if they are driving near the Nugget Casino Resort.

Drivers should be aware of some road closures coming up in downtown Reno this weekend.

Several streets will have temporary closures and lane restrictions in Sparks on Thursday.

Road closures are in place around the Nugget Event Center due to an Evanescence concert.

Sparks says the following road closures will be in place through Monday, August 12 at 6 a.m.

In an online post the City of Sparks recommends that concertgoers arrive early and plan ahead for parking. 

Starting Monday, lanes will be reduced on I-580 in south Reno as NDOT continues resurfacing and improving the interstate and ramps.
