Night In The Country has come up on it's last day of the festival for 2022, giving back each year right into the local Yerington community.
The event has been a huge local fundraiser for about 22 years serving kids in Lyon and Mineral County.
Thanksgiving is only a day away, shoppers are zooming through the stores, trying to find those last minute items to complete their feast.
Non-profit organizations that benefit from Night In The Country are taking a financial hit after the event was canceled in 2020, due to the pandemic.
Members with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley will break ground Friday on a new facility made just for teenagers. The new William N. Pennington Center with triple the current space that’s available for teens.
Popular country music star, Craig Morgan, is mourning the loss of his son, 19 year old Jerry Greer, who died in Tennessee Monday. Morgan has since canceled all of his upcoming performances including the three day country music festival, “Night in the Country” in Yerington next weekend.
It happens every summer about this time, scores of fans that fill the farmland in Yerington for Night in the Country. Most may not even realize they're helping raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley.
The William N. Pennington Foundation has given the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley a grant of nearly $310,000.
