Night In The Country Organizers Add New Performer After Cancellation

Night in the Country 2016

Popular country music star, Craig Morgan, is mourning the loss of his son, 19 year old Jerry Greer, who died in Tennessee Monday. Morgan has since canceled all of his upcoming performances including the three day country music festival, “Night in the Country” in Yerington next weekend.

Organizers of the festival have been working to fill his spot so that the thousands attending “Night in the Country” will still get to see plenty of artists.

"The nice thing about the country music industry is they are all very supportive of each other and when they heard of the tragedy there was some technical logistics to work out but everybody was willing to do what they could to support him [Craig Morgan] in his time of need," said Travis Crowder, Chief Professional Officer for Night in the Country.

Crowder says they were able to fill Morgan’s spot. They have bumped up the band “Lo-Cash" who was originally opening for Craig Morgan. They will now open for headliner, Kip Moore. Taking Lo-Cash's spot is up and comer, David Ray of Michigan.

Night in the Country is July 21 - July 23 and there are still tickets available. Click here for more information.
