Thank you for supporting our 24th annual Share Your Christmas Drive-by Food Drive!
It was a huge success!
We'll see you for our 25th year next December!Â
Here are the final totals:
Reno - 53,336 pounds of food and  $104,074 plus, $50,000 for School Pantry Program
Carson City - 76,459 pounds of food and $8,945
The Advocates to End Domestic Violence said it received 3,143 pounds of food, and $3,315.Â
Minden - 222,744Â pounds of food and $66,671
These total 352,539 pounds of food and $229,690 from all locations. Â
The Food Bank will still take your donations if you could not make it out on Friday. They are also looking for volunteers to help sort all of the food before it is sent out for delivery.
Eric Candelaria, the Food Bank of Northern Nevada volunteer leader, says it could take six to eight weeks to sort through the share your Christmas donations.
"It's a lot so what we have to do is get it off the shelves so it doesn't go bad," says Candelaria.
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada's Donald W. Reynolds Regional Food Distribution Center is located east of Sparks, Nevada.
From the Reno/Sparks area, drive east on I-80 and take Exit 32, USA Parkway. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp and follow USA Parkway 2.5 miles to Italy Drive. Turn left onto Italy Drive. The Food Bank is on the right at 550 Italy Drive.
