The Reno Police Department will be advising people of a newly passed city ordinance that bans smoking and vaping in certain areas of the city. 

The Reno City Council approved the ordinance last week of restricting people from smoking within 100 feet of parks, pools, and other city facilities. 

Police officers will be out advising park-goers to help build awareness of the new ban.
