South Lake Tahoe Police say they need your help finding two suspects in connection with a murder that happened last Saturday.
Police say around 7:45 p.m., 40-year-old Dennis Wright Jr. and his girlfriend drove to South Lake Tahoe to sell 100 pounds of marijuana to prospective buyers.
During the transaction, officer say the two suspects arrived and tried to rob the duo at gunpoint for the cash involved in the drug deal. The robbers physically struggled with the duo in the parking lot of the Beverly Lodge.
Police say then one or both of the two suspects fired multiple gunshots. Wright Jr. was shot multiple times and died after being transported to Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe.
The two robbers then fled the scene in a vehicle. At this time however, police say they have a very limited and unconfirmed description of the vehicle.
Suspect 1 is African-American, described as approximately 6’3”, weighs about 200 pounds, is in his late 20’s to early 30’s, with black hair worn in braids or dreadlocks
Suspect 2 is African-American, or possibly mixed race with a light complexion. He is 5’8”, weighs 170 pounds, is in his late 20’s to early 30’s with Black hair with tight curls.
The suspect vehicle is a tan-colored Chrysler Concorde, 2004 or older, similar to one pictured.
