Street Vibrations Expected to Bring Strong Economic Impact for 2019

After Sunday the roads might have less motorcycles on the streets as Street Vibrations comes to an end.

Organizers say Street Vibrations 25th year was a successful year, with Friday being one of its biggest and busiest days. Organizers say the event gets bigger every year and it's a big economic boost for the region. According to a study done by the University of Nevada Reno, the event is expected to bring in about $134 Million after people spend on food, beverages, gaming, hotel stay, and the show itself.

However, Randy Burke is the manager of the event, and he says it's hard to imagine the event getting bigger because many hotels are almost at full capacity every year.

Many people know the event brings in people from out of town, both returning fans and first-timers. But some regulars say there are a lack of bikes this year.

Attendee Donald Johnson said, "There's more booths and less bikes.Trust me. When we first started coming there weren't as many vendors and the streets were lined, all the way down. Every side street and Virginia was backed up all the way down, side to side with bikes."

"We all come together because we all like the life. We all like the bikes, and that's another thing that's changed. We don't get to... Our bikes don't have as much access to the venue. They're putting parking garages and there's not as much access." said another attendee, Maria Livingston.

However the two attendees say they will continue to go to the event when it comes back next year.
