The Reno River Festival has announced its return for the 2021 festival season on June 12-13 in Wingfield Park. The festival will include craft beer, local food, local craft vendors and local music acts.

COVID restrictions will be in place including mask and social distancing requirements. However, officials say restrictions could change depending on the COVID-19 Mitigation and Enforcement Plan through Washoe County. "If commissioners eliminate social distance minimums for outdoor events, we'll be able to add more food trucks, more music, and more people would be able to enjoy the event," says Neil Horning, co-owner and co-found of Liquid Blue Events . "We would be able to make this year's RiverFest look more like what that community has come to expect from the festival. We'll just have to wait and see."

For the first time in the festival's 17 years, officials will charge a $15 entry fee. "It is a necessary step to not only abide by all COVID regulations, but for us to be able to put the festival on. And we believe events are important, especially now. People have been stuck inside their homes for a year. Everyone wants to get outside and do something to get that sense that things are getting better," Horning continued. Other events at the festival charge tickets ranging from $30 to $249 per day.

Officials say the hours of the festival have been extended this year from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for both days of the festival. Tickets for different events at the festival can be found here.
