A portion of I-80 east near Wells Avenue was closed to traffic Wednesday morning after a crash involving a SUV and semi-truck.Â
Nevada Highway Patrol and Reno Fire responded to the crash just before 7:30 a.m.Â
Photos show the SUVÂ stuck underneath a semi-truck's trailer.Â
Reno Fire says the SUV driver was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.Â
There's no immediate word on what caused the crash. Traffic cameras show cars are backing up to near the McCarran exit near Robb Drive.Â

Meanwhile, a separate injury crash is causing traffic backup on Highway 395 south near Golden Valley. NHP reports that this injury crash happened just after 7:15 a.m. Wednesday. Emergency crews are on scene assisting.Â
