Things 2 Do This Weekend!

It's that time of week again...the fun time!  We have a stack of events for you ranging from a Grand Prix to a world premiere performance by the Reno Phil!

If you have a kiddo that loves fire trucks, police cruisers or big trucks, then bring them down to this year's 'Kids on Big Rigs' event! Its only $5 and all proceeds will go to High Desert Montessori School. That is this Saturday starting at 10am at Peterbilt truck parts and equipment in Sparks. For more information you can click here.

Even though Earth Day was last Monday, Truckee Meadows is celebrating it at Mayberry Park, and will be very similar to the one celebrated at Idlewild Park last year! It will feature live music, yoga by the river, a fun zone for kids and of course, earth friendly education. Pair that with delicious food, a live printing of Earth Day logo on blank shirts, and free bike valet, it's an event even Mother Nature would enjoy! That's at Mayberry Park Sunday starting at 9! For more information you can click here.

Start your engines for the 48th annual Virginia City Grand Prix! C Street will get a little loud with the roar of motorcycles during one of the largest and most competitive off-road motorcycle races in the west! That's Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 in downtown Virginia City! For more information you can click here.

It’s time for a gala! And this one is by the JDRF, and all proceeds go to help finding a cure for diabetes!

“So a lot of the dollars that we raise goes towards researching ways to prevent and cure diabetes," said Griffin Kirsch, a JDRF Honoree.

That's Saturday in the Reno Ballroom starting at 6! For more information you can click here.

The Reno Phil is about to end their season with a bang...and you can be a part of it and witness the world premiere performance of requiem, a series commissioned by Grammy-nominated composer Zhou Tian. For more information you can click here.

You can also check out the opening weekend of The Crucible at the Bruka Theater this Saturday and Sunday starting at 7:30! For more information, you can click here.Â
