It will be a hot weekend in Northern Nevada but there are a lot of cool ways to spend it. Like a giant slide that will be set up at Ralston Street in Reno on Saturday for an event called Slide the City. There will also be a lot of motorcycles in town for the Street Vibrations Spring Rally. And all things European will be celebrated with lots of beer on tap…for Eurofest at the Sands. Enjoy!

'I Need a Vacation' at Boys & Girls Club
Reno Little Theater’s outreach program is teaming up with kids from the Boys & Girls Club of the Truckee Meadows to put on a play. And you are all invited to see it tonight. It’s called, “I Need a Vacation” and it’s onstage at the Boys & Girls Club on Foster Drive. Doors Open at 5:00, curtain goes up at 5:30.

Sci-On! Science-Fiction Film Festival
Besides movies, you can also meet professional filmmakers at the event. One even worked with William Shatner and filmed his short on the set used for the Airplane! movies! The event benefits Challenger Learning Center in Reno. It starts at 7:30 p.m. at Davidson Mathematics & Science Center.

NDOW Sponsors Kid’s Carp Derby
The entire family can hook a good time at the Kid’s Carp Derby from 8 a.m. to noon at Lahontan Reservoir. The Nevada Department of Wildlife and Nevada State Parks have partnered to sponsor the derby, and staff and volunteers will be available to teach the little ones how to drop a line.
