Things 2 Do This Weekend!

We’ve got some great options for you this weekend, from the STIHL National Championship Air Races to the opening of the Reno Chamber Orchestra... no matter what you pick you will have a blast!

Take a look!

It’s time to get artsy at the 4th annual Art and Soul Festival of Truckee! This event combines visual art, live music, artist demonstrations, wine and beer tasting and so much more, all in support of the Truckee Tahoe School of Music. The fun starts Saturday at 1 in Downtown Truckee. For more information, you can click here.

And after you put your soul into art, it’s time to put your heart into this year’s Heart and Stroke Walk and 5k! More than 3,000 walkers are expected to help raise funds in the fight against cardiovascular disease and awareness in the Northern Nevada community. You can enjoy the run along with snacks, a kid's zone, games and inspirational speakers for healthy living. The walk starts Sunday at 10 at Wingfield Park and there's a run that starts an hour earlier. For more information, you can click here.

Evelyn Mount-a name almost synonymous with giving in this community-is retiring and you're invited to her going away party!  Come demonstrate your appreciation for a woman who dedicated decades of her life assisting those in need, from food donations to Easter baskets, Mrs. Mount touched thousands of lives! You can come give thanks at Pat Baker Park this Saturday at noon.

Feel the tempo and epic crescendo of the Reno Chamber Orchestra as they announce their 2018-2019 season concert schedule! The season opens with two performances this weekend, Saturday at 7:30 and 9:30, and Sunday at 2 and 4 at UNR’s Nightingale Concert Hall. For more information or tickets, you can click here.
