With Hot August Nights officially in the rear view, many of the construction projects around town are resuming.
One eastbound lane of McCarran Boulevard will be closed from Clear Acre Lane to El Rancho Drive from 9 pm to 5:30 am, Monday through Friday. Estimated end time is August 24th.
RTC plans to close eastbound traffic on 4th Street in Reno from Quincy Avenue to Evans Avenue from August 13 to August 31 for paving. Westbound traffic will not be affected. Eastbound traffic can detour on Evans Avenue to Sutro via 2nd Street or 6th Street.
In addition to the lane closures, RTC also plans to close the 4th Street/Evans Avenue intersection from 7 am – 7 pm on August 15 and again on August 31 for paving. Traffic will be detoured to Lake Street.Â
Let’s get to the big NDOT projects now. For the I-80 Keystone to State Line project there will be overnight closures on both East and Westbound I-80 from Keystone to 4th Street from 7pm - 7am, as well as intermittent ramp closures between Keystone and Verdi. The 4th Street on-ramp to I-80 Westbound will also be closed for the rest of the week; drivers are advised to use the Mogul on-ramp. You should also expect daytime shoulder closures in the area.
Now onto the 395/580 project. The McCarran Blvd. to 395 Southbound ramp will be closed from 8pm to 5am intermittently, as well as one Southbound lane of 395 from Clear Acre to I-80.
Kietzke Lane from Galletti Way to Glendale Avenue will also be closed, detour signs are in place.
