Northern Nevada Medical Center Eases Restrictions on Visitation Policy

Universal Health Services says its IT Network is now restored after a security issue took its system offline late last month at 400+ locations, including Northern Nevada Medical Center.

In an updated statement, UHS says its electronic medical records were not directly impacted and that resources were deployed to hospitals to support the resumption of online operations.

The IT issue was part of a larger malware attack that happened within the Universal Health Services network. UHS operates more than 400 locations worldwide, mostly in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

UHS also operates the Willow Springs Center, Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center, ER at McCarran NW and West Hills Behavioral Hospital.
