Washoe County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a man on robbery and other charges while investigating a call about a domestic disturbance.
Around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies found the suspect in a stolen car at an apartment complex in Reno.
Based on their investigation they say they had reason to believe the suspect was armed.Â
With help from the sheriff's office RAVEN helicopter and K9 teams, the car was surrounded. The suspect got out of the car and surrendered without incident.Â
The sheriff's office says a gun, multiple magazines and ammunition were found inside the car.
18-year-old Shldon Lands was booked into the Washoe County Jail on the following charges:
- Robbery with the use of a deadly weapon
- False imprisonment with the use of a deadly weapon, constituting domestic violence
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon
- possession of a modified semiautomatic firearm
- Possession of a stolen motor vehicle
