A man was arrested in Yerington on Thursday on an outstanding felony warrant, along with drug and gun charges.

58-year-old Travis Bullington was stopped by a Yerington Police Department officer just after 9:45 p.m. for driving an allegedly unregistered off-road vehicle, according to a release from the YPD.

The vehicle did not have headlights and was equipped only with spotlights that were angled directly into oncoming traffic at the time of the stop.

Bullington said he was passing through Yerington when his truck and travel trailer experienced issues, forcing him to park near the Yerington Raley's.

A wants and warrants check showed that Bullington was a fugitive with an active felony arrest warrant in Colorado.

The officer also allegedly noticed signs that Bullington might be intoxicated.

A K9 search of the off-road vehicle indicated drugs were present.

Bullington was then arrested on the felony warrant.

A subsequent K9 search of Bullington’s truck and travel trailer also revealed drugs, and a probable cause search turned up six grams of methamphetamine, three methamphetamine pipes, a small digital gram scale, multiple small zip-lock bags, a pellet gun, evidence and items related to the cultivation and manufacturing of psilocybin mushrooms, multiple rounds of 9mm ammunition, and $2,000 in cash.

Bullington was arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail on the charges below.

  • Fugitive from justice warrant
  • Manufacturing an illegal narcotic
  • Possession of illegal narcotics for sales
  • Ex-felon in possession of a firearm
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

He is being held without bail for the fugitive from justice charge, and a total bail of $228,420.00 has been set for the other charges.
