A Tuesday morning commute in Sparks was slowed after a crash at a busy intersection led to lane closures and sent people to hospitals.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at Pyramid Way and Los Altos Parkway.
Sparks Engine 41 responded to the scene. The crash involved three cars, and four people were injured. REMSA responded and transported three patients to a local hospital.
Sparks Fire Department said firefighters were initially responding to the crash, and northbound traffic on Pyramid Way was reduced to one lane.
Our crew on scene also reported that two lanes were temporarily blocked near the intersection for a tow truck, though traffic appeared to be moving smoothly at the time.
Nevada Highway Patrol is the investigating agency; the cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
