A Fernley man was arrested on Monday on a sex offender registration violation.
An investigation by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office’s Sex Offender Task Force found that 58-year-old Edward Milton Gilbert Jr. allegedly failed to update his sex offender registration after getting a new job and a new car.
Both things are required to be reported under Nevada law, according to a release from the Sheriff's Office.
Gilbert was booked into the Lyon County Jail on one count of prohibited act by a sex offender - first offense.
