Amendments to Governor Joe Lombardo's housing bill were passed out of committee in the Nevada Legislature on Friday.

The amendments to the bill, AB540, were unanimously approved by the Assembly Committee on Commerce and Labor.

Some big changes include lowering the bill's appropriation from $200 million to $150 million and adding a new section requiring the housing division to submit annual reports to the interim finance committee concerning the account.

Another change would require a program for reporting rental payments to a credit reporting agency to be free for landlords and tenants.

Friday is the second House Committee passage deadline, which means most bills have to pass out of the committee of their second house by the end of the day to move forwardÂ
