Ahead of Governor Joe Lombardo's State of the State address, the campaign has announced that Governor Lombardo has cranked up a record haul for any governor running for re-election at this point in an election cycle.
According to campaign filing reports submitted by Lombardo's campaign and PAC on Monday evening, he has raised nearly $3.4 million in 2024. This leaves him with a record breaking total of $5.53 million in cash on hand. Financial reports show that his political action committee, Nevada Way, with an additional $3 million cash-on-hand.Â
In an exclusive statement, Lombardo's spokesman, Joe Weaver, said: "Governor Lombardo took office and immediately focused on getting government back to work and getting stuff done. He is doing exactly what he promised. Nevadans from across the state are responding."
For comparison, Joe Lombardo has raised about $1 million more than former Governor Steve Sisolak did at the same point in the election cycle. According to FEC reports, at the end of 2020, Steve Sisolak reported raising $2.43 million with $4.53 million in cash on hand.
No Nevada governor has raised this much at this point in the campaign in state history.Â
Annual campaign finance disclosures are due on Wednesday.
