Former HUD Secretary and renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson granted an exclusive interview to 2 News Nevada Reporter Josh Meny regarding last week's debate between Trump and Harris, as well as key election issues in the last remaining months of the 2024 General Election.

Dr. Carson believes that the moderators did not challenge Kamala Harris sufficiently during the debate.

"They asked some very appropriate questions, but they didn't push for the answers. So, that leaves the American people pretty much in the dark about which Kamala Harris are we dealing with: the one who is an extreme leftist or the one who has moderated to the middle," said Dr. Ben Carson.

After the debate, most political pundits concluded that Kamala Harris outperformed Donald Trump and was able to provoke him with personal jabs.

Dr. Carson suggests that former President Trump could have better conveyed his message on border issues and undocumented immigration numbers during the Biden administration.

"He got distracted a little bit, but I think this is a serious issue for our country. We've got millions of people coming across the country, and we have no idea who they are. They are putting a tremendous burden on our economic structure, and not to mention the fact that some of them are not people who have the best intention for our country, and that's putting it mildly," said Dr. Carson.

As of April, data from the House Committee on Homeland Security indicates that the Biden administration is on track to reach 10 million known undocumented immigrant crossings. This represents a more than one thousand percent increase from the previous administration.

Additionally, over 360 individuals on the terrorist watchlist have been apprehended while crossing the border.
