Douglas Area Rural Transit has launched a new fixed route serving South Douglas County, providing weekday transportation between Topaz Ranch Estates and Gardnerville.
The South County Fixed Route officially began operating on Wednesday, July 1.
The route provides weekday transportation between Topaz Ranch Estates and Gardnerville, improving access to medical appointments, shopping, employment opportunities, community resources, and connections to additional transit services serving destinations beyond Douglas County.
The service operates Monday through Friday and offers multiple trips each day.
"The launch of the South County Fixed Route reflects DART's ongoing commitment to expanding transportation options and improving mobility for residents throughout Douglas County," said DART Supervisor Liz Begovich. "This new service will help connect South County residents to essential services, employment, healthcare, and regional transit connections."
