This week's “Someones 2 Know” are two professional comedians, who years ago moved to northern Nevada - and perform here regularly.

Marc Yaffee and Adam Stone met while working and became fast friends, toured together and are now preparing an online comedy benefit for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada

Making people laugh is what they do best -even if it means poking fun at our new social distancing norms;

"You know, happy times, sad times, but through it all,” explains Marc, “You know - comedy is the common denominator people can still smile, laugh and see some fun”

Adam agrees; "I really believe in silly. I think as adults we lose that - maybe not ability to be silly - we shy away from it likes it’s childish”.

Comedians Yaffee and Stone have been delivering their brand of fun and silly to stages all over the world for decades. Adam has been in comedy since the 90's and in Reno for the last 21 years.

"I came from Hawaii, six people in a 700 hundred foot apartment,” Adam exudes with a big smile, “Living the life!"

And like all good comedians uses his experience to entertain others.

The two comedians have been friends for 15 years, have toured together, performed for good causes and have now created a fundraiser;

"We formed the “Kindness Of Strangers” comedy tour about four months ago,” Marc tells us

The next online event on May 30th will raise money to help families suffering from the effects of the pandemic.

They are serious about helping; "WE SHOULD BE BANDING TOGETHER,” Adam shares, “And not tearing each other apart”.

The show will be live on Facebook and Zoom - all donations go to Food Bank Of Northern Nevada.

“It's been a very serious time with Covid,” reflects Marc “Not a lot of comedy, but we're like - people need to laugh.”
