Nevada Wolf Pack #7 in USA Today Coaches Poll, #8 in AP Poll

The Nevada men’s basketball team, off to a 2-0 start, will come home to open up the home schedule with two games at Lawlor Events Center this coming week.

Nevada (2-0) will play host to Pacific in the home opener on Monday. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at Lawlor and the game will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network. John Ramey will have the radio call on the Wolf Pack Radio Network, with the broadcast beginning on the flagship 94.5 FM at 5:30 p.m. in Northern Nevada. The broadcast is also available via the TuneIn mobile app.

The Wolf Pack will then take on the University of San Francisco on Wednesday at Lawlor in the first of back-to-back games against the Dons. Wednesday’s game will also tip-off at 6 p.m. on the Mountain West Network.

Nevada will then travel to San Francisco to play the Dons again on Sunday, Dec. 6.

The Wolf Pack is 2-0 after a pair of wins at the Golden Window Classic in Lincoln, Neb., earlier this week. Nevada opened with a victory over North Dakota State on Wednesday and then used a late Grant Sherfield 3-pointer to take down Nebraska on Thursday.

Pacific is 1-0 after a victory over UC Riverside earlier this week. The Tigers’ game against Fresno State was postponed.

USF is 2-1 on the year coming off a notable win over No. 4 Virginia on Friday at a multi-team event in Connecticut. The Dons will play Rhode Island on Sunday.

Season tickets for the men’s and women’s basketball seasons at Nevada will not be available as the athletics department continues to comply with regulations related to capacity and size of gatherings.

With reduced capacity measures in place, the Wolf Pack is not anticipating being able to accommodate fans until the early part of 2021 at the earliest. The decision to continue with the reduced capacity was made in alignment with the University’s ongoing mitigation efforts to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

Tickets won’t be sold for Wolf Pack non-conference games through the end of December as family members and guests of the student-athletes, coaches and department will be accommodated first within the allotted capacity. If the department is able to accommodate fans for games after the first of the year, tickets would be sold on a single-game basis only.

Fans can also support the basketball programs and have their place in Lawlor for the 2020-21 season by buying a cutout at www.NevadaWolfPack.com/cutout.
