Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD) says Sunday morning firefighters stopped forward progress on a small brush fire.
They say the fire was one-and-a-half miles from Ophir Creek Trailhead.
TMFPD says it appears to be an escaped campfire.
They say mop up is underway.
